At Festa da Luz, in Belo Horizonte, ON led the technical execution of three mapped projections for the festival, including the mapping of Rios Voadores onto a water curtain in Parque Municipal. Unlike a building façade, water mist changes density and shifts with the wind, requiring constant adjustment of focus, brightness, and image alignment in real time.
The festival also included an interactive mapped projection, responding in real time to audience commands, and the projection for the Latin American Video Mapping Showcase, on the façade of the Museu de Artes e Ofícios. Each surface imposes its own rules, and understanding these variables is what allows the technology to disappear in front of the experience.
